Supply Chain Planning Takes on An International Flavor
WAM Systems and Ortems link up for joint IT solutions
Addressing a sector of overall supply chain planning and optimization from raw materials to manufacturing, two IT companies, WAM Systems and Ortems S.A.S. have formed a strategic partnership. WAM has been strong in chemical manufacturing; Ortems in pharmaceuticals and consumer goods (both have numerous customers in other industries). Together, they plan to offer a “hybrid” solution of both companies’ tools to extend the functionality of ERP and manufacturing execution systems, and to improve scheduling and production planning activities.
The coming together of the two companies internationalizes their offering by definition: WAM is based in Plymouth Meeting, PA, and Ortems in Limonest Cedex, France.
