Life Science Logistics and PCI Pharma Services announce expansions

Pharma service providers continue to build out capacity for the coming wave of biologic medicines. The latest expansions, both in the US Midwest, include a 280,000 sq. ft warehouse in Whitestown, IN, by Life Science Logistics. The facility will double the company’s cold chain storage in the Indianapolis area. “The advances in medical treatments for oncology, diabetes, cell and gene therapies and so many other diagnoses require FDA-regulated products, that increasingly require, cold chain storage,” says LSL CEO Richard Beeny. “We only see that demand continuing to grow, and are excited to be part of it.”

LSL has four cGMP-compliant facilities in the US, totaling more than 1.5 million sq. ft., and provides distribution, kitting and back-office support for clients.

Meanwhile, PCI Pharma Services has added a 30,000-sq. ft. specialty-drug products space in Rockford, IL, which now includes four high-potency compound suites and three new secondary packaging areas, featuring cooling and freezers for -20°C to -8°C cold chain requirements. Rockford is the largest of PCI’s eight locations in the US, EU and Asia-Pacific. Capabilities include blister packaging, vibratory and slat filler bottling, powder filling, cartoning, carding, kitting and serialization fo clinical and commercial volumes.
