Metrics Contract Services completes facility expansion project

Metrics Contract Services, a full-service contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), has expanded its novel oral solid dose commercial facility in Greenville, NC, by adding 3,760 square feet of production space and new equipment.

The aforementioned undertaking, which officially commenced in September 2020, puts the bow on the $10 million venture that followed the completion of an $80 million project in 2018, and features three new manufacturing suites, including a combination dispensing/flex room, a standard flex room and a suite solely to house a newly commissioned Fette FE55 contained tablet press that has bilayer capability.

“The new commercial production suites will accommodate our customers’ demand for increased flexibility and capacity,” says John Ross, president of Mayne Pharma US and Metrics Contract Services. “This trio of rooms will enable us to further tailor equipment trains to the applicable process, particularly those that require smaller batch sizes.”
