Under the group purchasing agreement, the serialization business will be the sole provider of DSCSA services for Premier’s 4,300-plus hospital and health system network.
LSPedia, a provider of software-as-a-service (SaaS) traceability solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, has been granted a national group purchasing agreement with healthcare improvement company Premier, Inc., which means that it will now be providing the company’s network of approximately 4,350 US hospitals and health systems, and more than 300,000 other providers and organizations, with complete Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) services.
This will be in the form of recall management, regulatory compliance, and other supply chain solutions. LSPedia is currently used by various businesses in both healthcare and pharmaceutical spaces such as the US Department of Veterans Affairs, Cardinal Health, Cencora, and Morris & Dickson, among others.
The technology company’s DSCSA compliance efforts stem from its OneScan Healthcare and Pharmacy solution, which is able to incorporate hospital and pharmacy systems. Via this integration, the platform reduces the need to scan across various systems; it also offers recall management.
Another feature is an exceptions management solution known as Investigator, a product that can help facilitate the receipt of electronic product code information services (EPCIS) data.
"We are honored that Premier and their Pharmacy Council members took the time to review the latest technology in the DSCSA space and awarded LSPedia this agreement," said Chris Heckler, LSPedia's president of healthcare. "I am confident that Premier's members will appreciate the ability to access the latest technology in DSCSA compliance while taking advantage of special pricing through their Premier affiliation."
