Virtually guided tests will be distributed to pharmacies across the country
eMed, a digital health company, and pharmaceutical distributor giant Cardinal Health are collaborating to distribute millions of at-home Covid-19 rapid tests to pharmacies across the continental US, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands.
eMed provides a platform to virtually guide people through the testing process with the help of a certified guide. The tests do not require further equipment, are authenticated and deliver results within minutes, which are automatically reported to public health departments for tracking and tracing.
Per the agreement with Cardinal Health, the eMed tests will be allocated to pharmacies across the country and will be available for customer pickup. Users will fill out a questionnaire at eMed.com, then present the completed form at a participating pharmacy to be evaluated. After a consultation with a pharmacist, they will then receive a test for at-home administration, if eligible.
