CEIV Pharma certification is granted for China hub
Said to be one of the first CEIV Pharma-certified providers in China, Bolloré Logistics has announced its new status for its Pudong (China) airport facility. Bolloré Logistics, a brand of Bolloré Transport & Logistics, is based in Puteaux, France, and operates 607 offices in 106 countries globally. The Pudong airport certification complements CEIV-Pharma status in Singapore, Australia and South Korea, as well as for its Paris Roissy CDG, Brussels, Frankfurt and Lisbon sites. Bolloré Logistics says that it is one of the top 10 global logistics/freight forwarding firms; however, a 2017 rating from Transport Intelligence, a London market-research firm, puts it at No. 11. The company says that it is planning CEIV Pharma certification for Japan, among other sites.
CEIV Pharma (Center of Excellence for Independent Validators-Pharma) is a program run by the International Air Transport Assn. (IATA) to bring some global standardization to regulatory and operational practices for logistics facilities around the world, including warehousing, airport facilities and ground transportation. Validators are selected and trained by IATA to apply global standards where possible, and compliance with local or national standards as needed, especially for temperature-controlled (cold chain) practices for healthcare products.
