Future tech, serialization and South America
The biannual meeting of the Health and Personal Care Logistics Conference, to be held in Philadelphia, PA (March 15−17) has been announced. The meeting brings together logistics and supply chain managers from throughout the US life sciences industry, as well as healthcare products suppliers.
In an opening session keynote, “Technology Trends: Separating Hype from Reality,” Jessica Brooks, marketing VP at J.B. Hunt, will examine the Uber effect on logistics, driverless cars and related developments. In another session, an IBM exec looks at digitization’s effect on supply chain management. In a related vein, an Eli Lilly exec will look at the ongoing efforts in the industry to prepare for implementation of the Drug Supply Chain and Security Act (DSCSA), as well as related international efforts.
On the second day, a session includes three industry speakers addressing logistics trends in South and Central America, including supplier validation, temperature control and security. Other sessions cover industry security, case studies and legal/regulatory issues in Washington, DC.
