Company anticipating to double global network size by end of the year
With the launch of its Los Angeles, CA hub, Tower Cold Chain—a company that rents containers to the pharma industry for temperature-specific transport—confirms it is on track to double the size of its global network this year. The latest hub is located 18 miles from LAX International Airport and gives Tower its first location on the West Coast, which the company says is a pivotal region in terms of access across the Pacific and into South America.
The 10,000 square-foot location is operated for Tower by DSV, the first time the freight forwarder has partnered with the company. It is expected to be used to house products across the Tower lineup.
“By having strategic locations around the world, we can guarantee proximity and availability of our containers—allowing customers to ship temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical, life-science, and biotech products,” says Natalie Robinson, Tower Cold Chain's global head of operations.
Robinson also adds that Chicago, IL and Incheon, South Korea locations are forthcoming.
