Linkage to the company’s SensiWatch logistics-tracking technology is built-in
Sensitech, a longtime player in temperature monitoring for life sciences shipments, has expanded its TempTale GEO line of sensor-dataloggers in three ways: the GEO Ultra, covering ultracold temperatures; the GEO LTE, for more-conventional refrigerated temperatures and the VizComm version, for supply-chain networking setups. All three link to the company’s SensiWatch platform, a cloud-based data-visibility solution to provide global tracking of shipment location and condition. SensiWatch, in turn, is one way of linking Temptale data to the LYNX platform of Sensitech’s parent, Carrier Corp., for comprehensive environmental monitoring.
According to the company, the devices meet GxP (good practice) standards in the US and Europe for data validation. They are available in non-lithium-battery options, important for air freight where the use of lithium batteries is restricted, while capable of 90-day continuous operation. Additionally, the devices have a level of onboard intelligence that enable them to communicate wirelessly, while shutting off during airplane takeoff and landing. Overall, the devices allow for “nimble decision-making” of shipment status, as noted by Mike Hurton, VP.
