The restructural changes at the pharma pubs are effective immediately
The editorial teams of Pharmaceutical Executive and Pharmaceutical Commerce have been recently reorganized, and we are excited to announce the following updates to our team. The reorganization strengthens our ability to present information across the pharma life cycle and positions our talent to best achieve our goals. We would like to congratulate everyone in their new roles.
Mike Christel ([email protected]) has been promoted to Associate Editorial Director/Group Managing Editor and will head up content quality control and production both in print and online. Mike brings a career full of editorial and production skills to the magazine. Mike started his career in local news, which provided his strong skills in editing and writing. He also served as Senior Editor and Managing Editor of R&D Directions before taking the role of Managing Editor for Pharmaceutical Executive and Applied Clinical Trials, and most recently Editor-in-Chief for Pharmaceutical Commerce.
Julian Upton ([email protected]) has been promoted to Associate Editorial Director/Editor-in-Chief of Pharmaceutical Commerce and will take over the day-to-day management and content of the brand. Formerly European and Online Editor of Pharmaceutical Executive, he brings a plethora of knowledge to the role, supported by his additional experience writing for Pharmaceutical Technology and Dental Products News. He will continue to write both print and online features and will join the Pharmaceutical Commerce Podcast as co-host.
Elaine Quilici ([email protected]) has been promoted to Associate Editorial Director/Editor-in-Chief of Pharmaceutical Executive and will take over the day-to-day management and content direction of the brand. Formerly Senior Editor, she has been with the brand since July 2019 and brings a solid career of writing and editorial management with her; in fact, Elaine was Managing Editor of Pharmaceutical Executive from 2003–2004. Prior to that, she was Managing Editor for European Medical Device Manufacturer. Elaine will continue to interview industry leaders for print and online features, roundtables, and conferences, in addition to writing a leadership column and managing/co-hosting the biweekly Pharmaceutical Executive Podcast.
Miranda Schmalfuhs ([email protected]) has been promoted to Associate Editor/Group Social Media Editor to provide overall social media strategy. She will continue to co-host and produce the Pharmaceutical Executive Podcast.
Andy Studna ([email protected]) has been promoted to Associate Editor of Pharmaceutical Executive and Applied Clinical Trials. He will continue to support the brand’s day-to-day web, production, and project management needs, and co-host the Applied Clinical Trials Podcast.
Fran Pollaro ([email protected]) will remain Senior Editor for Pharmaceutical Executive. He manages pharma marketing content for the brand, both online and in print, and writes a marketing column.
Nicholas Saraceno ([email protected]) will remain Associate Editor for Pharmaceutical Commerce. He will continue to support the brand’s day-to-day web, production, and project management needs, and co-host the Pharmaceutical Commerce Podcast.
Lisa Henderson ([email protected]) will remain Group Editorial Director of Pharmaceutical Executive and Applied Clinical Trials, while adding Pharmaceutical Commerce and spearheading the development of new products. She will continue to co-host the Applied Clinical Trials Podcast.
