Signed into law in 2013, the #DSCSA has faced repeated delays and a new phased compliance timeline.

➡️ Mid-to-large dispensers: November 2025
➡️ Small dispensers (<25 employees): November 2026

📜 Why the delay?
Despite nearly two decades of work (starting with initiatives like California’s e-Pedigree), the FDA introduced a “stabilization period” to test and refine systems. This period has turned into multiple extensions, reflecting industry-wide challenges in readiness.
