MoU aims to align the pharmaceutical and cold chain sectors by boosting operations.
Pharma.Aero—a link that provides the safe transportation of medicine, cures, and vaccines from manufacturing plants to patients—has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Cool Chain Association (CCA), an industry association that specializes in temperature-controlled logistics.
The MoU—which is intended to successfully blend both pharma and cold chain—highlights the associations’ efforts to encourage collaboration and improve transparency between the life science and perishable supply chain.
“We are excited about the prospect of joint industry projects that will not only drive advancements but also set new benchmarks for industry collaboration,” said Trevor Caswell, chairman of Pharma.Aero, and manager of demand and product development (cargo) at Edmonton International Airport. "By joining forces, we aim to leverage our collective expertise to address the evolving challenges in the life science temperature-controlled logistics.”
Pharma.Aero and the CCA will collaborate on projects to review and recommend new industry processes and guidelines.
"Our partnership with Pharma.Aero is born out of a shared goal to improve the quality and safety of the cool supply chain," noted Stavros Evangelakakis, CCA chairman of the board, and head of global healthcare, Cargolux. “We believe that we can achieve so much more through cross-industry collaboration than we ever could working independently in silos.”
