Partnership with Thoughtworks expected to increase transparency, streamline processes
PCI Pharma Services, a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) and biopharma global outsourcing services provider, has signed a multi-year agreement Thoughtworks, a global technology consultancy.
The CDMO notes that Thoughtworks will be able to help the company digitize its supply chain, with the goal being to accelerate the time it takes to bring clients’ therapies to market for patients. This could also potentially help improve client visibility into clinical and commercial drug supply chains for pharmaceutical and biotech companies of various sizes.
The agreement includes expansion and adaptation of PCI Bridge, the company’s end-to-end data platform that offers real-time status of projects, automatically identifies risks, spots trends, and provides business analytics insights, which can help create more transparency with clients. The partnership will also simplify the collection and analysis of information to reach business insights faster and streamline processes to develop new products. The teams aim to accomplish this by using agile development methods, including pair programming, test-driven development, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) automation.
“ … We are thrilled to partner with PCI Pharma Services, as it empowers its clients to make even more powerful, life-impacting decisions through their expansive data and analytics ecosystems,” says Chris Murphy, CEO, Thoughtworks North America.
