Platform partnerships aim to unlock new ways for pharma to engage with HCPs and patients
OptimizeRx Corp., a digital health company that provides communications support for life sciences organizations, physicians and patients, unveiled its latest platform expansion at point-of-care with numerous new health information technology (HIT) partnerships to connect the digital channels used by healthcare professionals (HCPs) within the care environment. The development increases the reach of the OptimizeRx digital health and communications platform, offering touchpoints for pharma companies to engage providers, both within and outside the electronic health record (EHR).
The platform's expansion furthers the company’s focus on improving affordability, access and adherence for patients. The aim is to unlock omnichannel approaches for drugmakers to engage in more impactful ways with HCPs and patients, the company says. The partnerships will also tackle obstacles found along the oncology care journey.
A recent McKinsey analysis determined “stakeholder engagement” as one of the top-five success factors for pharma manufacturers to successfully commercialize oncology treatments, with the rising availability of precision medicine and the flow of new cancer treatments.
