Nippon Express Italia Earns CEIV Pharma Certification

Nippon Express Italia S.p.A. (NX Italia), a group company of Nippon Express Holdings, Inc., has been granted the Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) Pharma recertification— a quality certificate for pharmaceutical transport—by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for its warehouse facility in Lainate, near Milan Malpensa Airport.

Italy houses various pharma and biotech companies, with Milan offering the Milano Innovation District (MIND), a science and technology park dedicated to pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing. The city also serves as a hub for the distribution of pharmaceuticals to the rest of Europe.

NX Italia acquired good distribution practice (GDP) certification in May 2021, demonstrating its compliance with internationally recognized standards for the proper distribution of pharmaceuticals, and, in combination with the acquisition of CEIV Pharma certification, will look to provide safer and higher-quality pharma transportation services using Milan Malpensa Airport as a hub.
