Woodfield expands third-party logistics (3PL) services from its Florida base
Woodfield Distribution (WDSrx), a growing 3PL for life sciences based in Boca Raton, FL, is expanding to other states. The company has opened a 48,600-sq.ft. facility in Sugar Land, TX that is equipped to handle warehousing and distribution, cold-chain capability, reverse logistics and regulatory-compliant disposition. The total investment is $1.5 million, and is occurring at the same time as a doubling of controlled-substances (Sched. II-V) warehousing at the Boca Raton center. The Sugar Land facility is also in the vicinity of an affiliated Woodfield company, Woodfield Pharmaceutical LLC, a contract manufacturing organization.
“We are increasing our regional presence in response to client demand. Our Sugar Land Center provides needed additional capacity and features the same advanced technologies and efficiencies at our state-of-the-art location in Florida,” said Lawrence Hotz, WDSrx marketing manager, in a statement.
