Meribel Pharma Solutions Joins the CDMO Marketplace
The new firm—with 13 manufacturing facilities spanning France, Sweden, and Spain—will support the pharma supply chain through to commercialization.
There is a new contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) in the marketplace. With the ultimate goal of boosting patient health through its manufacturing services, Meribel Pharma Solutions has officially launched, bringing with it a European network of clients.1
The name comes from the Meribel mountain range in the Alps. This particular range can be found in the Three Valleys in France, a representation of the firm uniting manufacturing services from across three countries: France, Spain and Sweden.
As a result, following the purchase of Synerlab Group, along with seven European manufacturing facilities from Recipharm last year, the CDMO currently has 13 manufacturing plants—six in France, five in Sweden and two in Spain. Its services include specialization in development, lyophilization, sachets, sterile multidoses, and stick packets. And due to its experience with oral solid dose (OSD) drug product manufacture, semi-solid dosage formulations, and steriles, Meribel notes that it’ll be able to assist clients through the entire drug development supply chain, from concept, all the way through to commercialization.
Per the multiple acquisitions, Bruce Vielle, the former Synerlab’s former president and CEO, will be the firm’s CEO, while Steve Leonard, formerly of Integra Life Sciences and Catalent, will join the team as COO.
