Beijing nears completion; Mexico City is expanded
Marken (Research Triangle Park, NC) has announced the construction completion of a new depot in Beijing, providing 850 sq. m. of temperature-controlled storage and distribution of clinical trial materials (CTMs). The facility, adjacent to the Beijing Capital International Airport, is co-located with Marken’s branch office. Earlier this year, the company also announced that its Mexico City depot had been expanded to 1,200 sq. m., bringing its global total to six (the others are Germany, Singapore, the US, Argentina and Mexico). All are connected via a cloud-based inventory-management system, branded as Solo by Marken, that tracks dosages at the patient level and is certified as 21 CFR Part 11 compliant.
"We are proud to expand our pharmaceutical service depot network to Beijing, China," said Wes Wheeler, CEO. "We are now pushing forward with more depots in key countries around the world such as Brazil, Chile, Columbia and Russia. Through expanded investment in facilities and technologies, we will continue to ensure that our clients are provided with full service, global clinical supply chain solutions that provide the highest quality courier and logistics services to our clients."
Marken provides clinical trial logistics and support services, saying that 49,000 investigators in 150 countries are currently being supported by its logistics and courier services.
