More CII and refrigerated storage
Life Science Logistics (Dallas) has opened a 2,350-sq.ft vault (pictured) for CII (Class II controlled substances) and also a 2,700-sq.ft. space for refrigerated (2-8°C) storage at its existing Indianapolis facility. That location now have just under 400,000 sq.ft of capacity.
“We’re seeing increased demand for refrigerated space from our pharmaceutical and biotech clients,” said Richard Beeny, CEO, adding that LSL chose to expand at its Indianapolis location because of Indiana’s geographic reach and the city’s tax advantages for its clients. The CII expansion was driven, in part, by the reclassification, last year, of CIII hydrocodone to CII.
Life Science Logistics has four US locations (Dallas, Indianapolis, Baltimore and Atlanta, totaling 1.35 million sq. ft of capacity exclusively for life sciences products. In addition to the storage, it offers 3PL logistics services, including distribution, order to case and regulatory compliance.
Machine Health in Pharmaceutical Production
December 2nd 2024Predictive maintenance in pharmaceutical production can help reduce downtime and increase efficiency. Grundfos Machine Health (GMH) uses artificial intelligence (AI)-driven wireless sensors to monitor motor health in real-time, identifying potential issues. This approach not only reduces maintenance costs but also ensures compliance with industry standards.
