Expansion of cloud-based services includes Amazon Web Services
On the eve of the CBI Trade and Channel Strategies meeting (Philadelphia, Dec. 9-10), which brings together many of the leaders in commercial operations and wholesaler contract management in life sciences, Integrichain (Philadelphia) is announcing an upgrade of its Integrichain Scorecard, a cloud-based software platform for managing and analyzing trading partner relationships. The upgrade, says the company, includes new metrics, automated contracts, improved adjustments functionality, and automated overrides. Last month, the company announced a hybrid cloud service, combining its existing private cloud for data collection and storage with the public cloud offerings of Amazon Web Services. With two billion transactions representing about half of all US life sciences trade business having flowed through Integrichain’s network, the company is building capacity and resources for future growth.
Integrichain’s Scorecard traces back over a decade to when trading agreements converted from purchasing and price arbitraging by wholesalers to fee-for-service agreements (also known as inventory management agreements and distribution service agreements). Many of these contracts include pay-for-performance clauses covering inventory levels, data services and other actions, all of which serve to give manufacturers better visibility into their supply chains. “IntegriChain Scorecard drives collaboration between healthcare manufacturers and their trade partners to radically improve the efficiency of delivering products to patients,” said Sunay Shah, executive director. The new product enhancements “are designed to help maximize the dollars that healthcare manufacturers invest in channel management to achieve the highest possible performance.”
More information about the CBI meeting is available here; a simultaneous, one-day meeting, “Specialty Product Data Strategies,” is collocated with the meeting.
