ValueCentric cited for Safe & Secure Supply Chain IT service
At this year’s Healthcare and Distribution Management Assn.’s annual conference and expo (Tampa, FL; March 7-9), awards were presented to Neal Warren, VP of industry and supplier relations, for service to industry, and ValueCentric, an Orchard Park, NY, IT service provider, for innovative business processes and services.
Neal Warren has had a 25-year career in healthcare distribution, including the past 15 at Cardinal Health, and has served on a variety of HDMA task forces and advisory committees. “People at all levels of the industry admire and respect Neil for his depth of knowledge, his ability to forge lasting connections and his role as a champion of the distribution industry,” said HDMA President and CEO John M. Gray. “We are proud to recognize his outstanding contributions to the industry and the Association.”
The ValueCentric award honors the company’s Safe & Secure Supply Chain module, part of the company’s ValueTrak system. ValueCentric has been one of the pioneering firms in developing software and databases that enable pharma manufacturers and trading partners to track movement of products through the supply chain through EDI transaction notifications. The Safe & Secure module alerts trading partners in near real-time to unusual events or demand, thus signaling potential diversion. The company says that its software can reduce manual monitoring efforts by 50% or more.
HDMA annually presents the Distribution Management Award to a member company or companies that demonstrate the value of distribution by developing creative, results-oriented programs and processes in areas ranging from technology and operations to trade and promotional planning.
