Board undergoes annual changover
At the Healthcare Distribution Management Assn.’s recent board meeting, the group announced the regular succession of its leadership. The new chairman is David Neu, president of AmerisourceBergen Drug Corp., succeeding David Moody, CEO of Mutual Wholesale Drug Co., who will continue to serve as a member of the HDMA Executive Committee. The other new appointment is Ted Scherr, CEO of Dakota Drug Co., as vice chairman.
Other directors are: Kenneth Couch (president, Smith Drug Company); Paul Julian (EVP, McKesson); Michael Kaufmann (CEO, Pharmaceutical Segment, Cardinal Health); Dale Smith (chairman, H. D. Smith) and John Gray, Ex Officio (president, HDMA).
“I want to thank David Moody for his exceptional leadership and commitment to the Association in his two years as our Chairman, and welcome Dave Neu and Ted Scherr to their new roles,” said HDMA president and CEO John Gray. “With a host of issues on the horizon, 2013 looks to be a busy year for our association, and I look forward to working closely with Dave and Ted, as well as the entire board, as we continue to advocate for safe and efficient supply chain solutions.”
