The CRO establishes new legal entity and regional office in Tokyo
The PrimeVigilance business of Ergomed plc, a contract research organization (CRO) that works with the pharma industry, has set up its new legal entity and regional office in Japan, and is now fully operational, the organization revealed.
The new subsidiary company (trading as PrimeVigilance Japan KK) is based in Tokyo and provides various pharmacovigilance services, including a Japanese safety database and Japanese language medical information services.
With this latest expansion, clients have the chance to spread their product coverage into the Japanese pharma market, a segment that Ergomed notes is the fourth largest globally after the US, the EU, and China. The move also provides PrimeVigilance and Ergomed the chance to provide specialist services to domestic Japanese companies.
The new facility in Japan adds Asia to Ergomed’s global footprint, allowing the mid-sized CRO to offer operational services in all major regions.
