The Vicenza site will run about 54,000 square feet in size.
CMP Phar.ma, a company that specializes in the production of inspection systems for the pharma industry, has welcomed a new location in Vicenza, Italy. CMP Phar.ma’s parent company, Marchesini Group, is investing $7.4 million into the 54,000 square-foot site, with more than half of that being used for production.
As far back as 1982, a little more than 10 years after its incorporation, CMP Phar.ma introduced an automatic ampoule inspection machine with laser lighting onto the market. Since then, CMP Phar.ma has consolidated its position by establishing a product portfolio which now includes various inspection machines, not only for ampoules but also for vials, pre-filled syringes, and freeze-dried products.
By now being under Marchesini Group umbrella, CMP Phar.ma can now contribute its inspection machines to larger production lines, including those used by Big Pharma for packaging COVID-19 vaccines and cancer drugs.
