CSafe expands in Atlanta and Newark; QuickSTAT in Latin America
CSafe, a provider of active and passive commercial-scale cold chain containers for pharmaceuticals, and QuickSTAT, an express delivery company that targets the clinical trials market, have announced service expansions based on the growing volume of business they are deriving from life sciences clients.
Dayton, OH-based CSafe established service centers (which can, for example recharge batteries on its RKN pallet shippers, or refurbish its vacuum-panel-based passive containers) in San Francisco and Los Angeles. This year, they are expanding capacity in Atlanta and Newark, NJ (doubling capacity in the latter), and later this year will add service points in Tokyo, Rome, Vienna and Brussels. “Our experienced teams of technicians are trained in-house to a very high standard with CSafe Global's products and processes to facilitate the increasing volume of business, reduce turn time and ensure availability,” said Rick Rackley, director of Quality, Technical Support and Service Partners, in a statement.
Meanwhile, QuickSTAT (New York) is adding staff, beefed-up IT capabilities and tech support in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Miami, FL, as part of an ongoing global expansion plan. “Our investment in an increased global footprint in Latin America, the recruitment of top industry specialists, along with our market-leading IT platform demonstrates our commitment to the life science community in the region,” said Dominique Brown, COO, in a statement. The two offices will be staffed 24/7 with multilingual transportation and logistics specialists, and will have in-transit storage capacity for clinical trial materials. Going forward, QuickSTAT provides brokerage services, as well as regulatory support for import and export of biologics, samples, kits, drugs, medical devices and supplies related to clinical trials to and from Latin America and the rest of the world. Its QuickOnlineRX IT system is in use to monitor supply chain activity, obtain real-time shipment information and check temperature integrity throughout transit.
