Company celebrates its growth at annual industry event
On the eve of the annual Asembia Specialty Pharmacy Summit, its must-attend event for specialty pharma and specialty pharmacy, the company has announced an expansion of its hub services, now being carried out in four locations with staffing upwards of 1,000. The new expansion, in Trevose, PA, joins with operations that have grown in the past few years at its headquarters in New Jersey and in Nevada.
Asembia retains an unusual position in the spectrum of service providers for patient support: it acts as a group purchasing organization for specialty pharmacies (most recently winning distribution services for Pfizer Oncology); it provides outsourced patient-support services as a hub provider; and it offers software (Asembia1) and support services for pharmacies. The unifying theme, according to company literature, is “to develop solutions for the high-touch specialty pharmaceutical service model." Along the way, its annual meeting (now drawing some 6,000 attendees, and running Apr. 29-May 2 in Las Vegas) is a key networking and exhibition event for hub service providers, specialty pharmacies, and specialty pharma companies themselves.
