BDI Pharma (Columbia, SC) is in the final stages of construction and licensing of a DC near the Dallas-Fort Worth airport, the better to serve its customers of immunoglobulin, albumin, vaccines, chemotherapy products and other specialty pharmaceuticals. The facility, the company’s second national DC, more than doubles its warehousing capacity and ultimately will manage 40% of its shipments, according to a company statement. There is also room for future expansion.
BDI Pharma provides basic wholesaling services as well as sales and marketing services for manufacturers and reimbursement services for patients, seeking to act as a commercialization extension of its biopharma suppliers.
Earlier this year, it expanded its cold-chain storage capacity and built new offices near its Columbia, SC headquarters; at that time it announced a 40% increase in sales over the previous year.
