PRIVACY POLICY OF PHARMACEUTICAL COMMERCE
Pharmaceutical Commerce is concerned about protecting the privacy of our readers on the Internet, on our Web site, and in our office. We have established the following Privacy Policy to explain the ways in which we use information gathered from visitors to our Web site located at www.pharmaceuticalcommerce.com (“Web site.”) as well as information provided voluntarily to the organization from information seekers and e-newsletter subscribers.  This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Web site and all who provide information to our office (collectively referred to herein as “you”).  Periodically, this Privacy Policy may be changed or updated, and we will endeavor to provide you with reasonable notice of such changes on the Web site or by request to our office. Your continued use of the Web site after notice of a new or revised Privacy Policy is posted on the Web site shall constitute your acceptance of any such changes to the Privacy Policy.  If you would like to receive a copy of this Privacy Policy by mail, please contact our office.
Information that Pharmaceutical Commerce collects
In general, anyone can visit our Web site and access published information while remaining anonymous and not revealing any personal information. We do not collect personally identifiable information via the Web site from individuals unless they provide it to us knowingly and voluntarily. Our Web site does, however, collect the IP addresses of those who visit the Web site, but this information is not shared with anyone outside of the Foundation, and our web hosting providers (who do not use the information in any way). Pharmaceutical Commerce only gathers the personally identifiable data, such as names, addresses, zip/postal codes, e-mail addresses, etc. that you voluntarily submit to us.
Pharmaceutical Commerce collects information on our website and when provided to our office.  We will not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others other than for those reasons outlined in this section.  Reasons for voluntary submission of information include, but are not limited to, signing up for our E-Newsletter or requesting additional information. If you willingly provide us with your personal information, Pharmaceutical Commerce may occasionally share the names and addresses of donors and constituents with other reputable non-profit organizations whose services we believe may be of interest to you.  We carefully screen and approve these organizations.  Organizations that we share your name and address with will only have one-time access to your information unless you choose to respond to their mailing.  You can opt out of sharing any of your personal information by contacting Pharmaceutical Commerce at any time.  Pharmaceutical Commerce will never sell, rent or give your email address or phone number to unaffiliated third parties. We will only share your personally identifiable information with third parties when (a) you expressly authorize it and/or it is necessary to do so to complete a transaction that you have requested; (b) sharing the information is necessary or relevant to the operation of the Web site or the Foundation, such as in the case of sending Pharmaceutical Commerce mail,  (c) we are required to do so by law, court order, or other valid legal process, or to protect the rights or property of the Pharmaceutical Commerce, or (d) sharing the information to any successor organization to the Pharmaceutical Commerce, or any acquirer of the Foundation’s principal assets.
How the Pharmaceutical Commerce protects your personal information: We maintain commercially reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized or inappropriate access. Except as outlined above, personal contact information is not shared with any organization outside of the Pharmaceutical Commerce and our agents (reputable companies we use for services, such as sending Pharmaceutical Commerce mail, and our financial team of accountants and auditors).
Links to other web sites
Our Web site contains links to other non-Pharmaceutical Commerce web sites. Although we try to link only to Web sites that share our concern for customer information privacy, we are not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of such third-party Web sites. This Web site will, on occasion, use a secure third-party Web site for event registration and abstract submissions. If you are not comfortable using a third-party Web site to register for an event or submit an online abstract, please contact the Pharmaceutical Commerce office to make alternative arrangements. Pharmaceutical Commerce uses Authorize.net to accept credit card donations. Those who wish to make a donation without using a credit card should contact our office to learn about other options.

Other than the specific instances outlined in this Privacy Policy, the Foundation does not collect personal information about users or how individuals use the site. The Foundation also does not use the information-tracking devices made possible through “cookies,” which are small pieces of data that may be sent to your Web browser from a server and stored on your computer’s hard drive.
